You're in the final stretch of pregnancy - everything is becoming real, exciting… and maybe a little overwhelming. You've been seeking and absorbing information, attending antenatal classes, listening to podcasts, enjoying pregnancy yoga and maybe even trying hypnobirthing.

But here’s the question: Are you physically preparing for labour?

Birth isn’t just about what you know - it’s about what your body does. Birth is a physical process. The way you move, the positions you use, and how your partner supports you can all make a real difference to your experience, your comfort, and your baby’s journey into the world.

This small-group workshop is all about helping you and your birth partner understand how your body and baby work together during labour - and how the way you move, rest, and position yourself can help things flow more smoothly.

This workshop moves beyond the theory you might have learned in other classes and gives you practical ways to support your body and your baby on the day.

What it is:
A practical and relaxed 2 hour session to help you and your birth partner understand how to support your body and baby during labour. We’ll explore how movement, positioning, and partner support can really make a difference on your birthing day.

What we’ll explore:

  • Key positions, movements and techniques that support pelvic balance, baby’s position and navigation through the pelvis

  • Ways to protect the perineum and help prevent tearing

  • The basic principles of labour and how to work with your body

  • The role of your birth partner - how they can confidently give you real support - emotionally and physically

  • Simple ways to move, rest and stay grounded and more in control as labour unfolds

  • How your body and baby work together during labour

    What’s included:

  • 2-hour practical session

  • This is not a yoga class, but a hands-on, educational workshop where we will be moving. It complements antenatal or hypnobirthing classes beautifully.

  • Resources to take home

  • Snacks and refreshments

  • A calming, welcoming studio space

  • Only 5 couples for plenty of individual support

This isn’t about “performing” birth a certain way. It’s about learning how to work with your body, not against it — so you feel more confident, more prepared, and more connected as a couple.

“If you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change.”
— Marie Mongan, Founder of HypnoBirthing

Perfect for couples in their third trimester (28 weeks onwards), especially if you want something practical to complement your antenatal or hypnobirthing course.

Leave with techniques you can actually use.
Leave feeling like a team.
And leave knowing you’ve done something truly useful to support your birth.

This workshop is perfect if you:

  • Want to complement your antenatal course or hypnobirthing classes with practical tools

What to expect
